capture is not too tough if you have the resources available and aren't trying
to get the timer to do too many things at one time -- like I am in my
current project and it makes my head hurt.</DIV>

<DIV>Interesting when you think about the RC world. They use pulse widths to
convey information -- maybe for historical reasons, but then when you think
about a variable pulse width signal conveying information to an RC servo, it
starts to make good sense that it is conveyed in the pulse width and not in an
analog voltage.</DIV>

<DIV>So the digital POT speaks SPI or I2C, but you are figuring
that would be a mess to deliver that data to whatever processors need
