Hi Ken, I'm following their list and have my students watching
their event as well. See http://www.chibots.org/drupal/ They may
not go, but are keeping it in mind. Eddie and Shawn are still
both working on Robomagellan after the lab courses ended and
into this summer, with Eddie planning to go to Robogames in San
Fransisco at least.

Hey Steve,
I don't know anyone in the Chicago club. I hadn't heard of
their event. I am only about 4.5hrs east of there and it would
definitly be worth a drive over. To you have links to a site
with details and contacts?
-Kenneth

We have been tossing around the idea of an outdoor challenge
this
fall if enough builders are interested, to capitalize on the
momentum that seems to have been generated by the Houston
(SHARP)
group, the DPRG ORC, and now the PARTS event next Sunday. So
maybe
five or six months from now to allow some absorption of the
lessons
learned and time to experiment.
Actually, Chibots (Chicago Robotics Club) is having a
RoboMagellan event in just a couple weeks (June 7th). Yes,
there is a lot of interest in this type of event right now.
I think I'd be interested in leaving Indiana to visit Dallas in
early November (or Jan/Feb) if you do decide to hold an event.
Should be fun.
Steve
