Howdy,
I took a few photos of the contest and contestants for last weekend's robot
extravaganza:

I agree with Robert that there were lots of robots ready to progress to
the next more difficult challenges. I think it might be really useful to
all involved if each one can document what worked and what didn't,
and what changes you have made or need to make to improve your
robot's performance.
Dean discussed encoder count calibration, and Robert mentioned some
hard iron compass corrections that he is going to investigate. Perhaps
this is the right time to start a wiki so that folks can begin to document
what they've learned as a shared repository for others.
I'll start: Outdoor Robot competitions in Texas need to be held in the
MORNING or the COOL of the EVENING, lest your lowly coordinators
must be scraped off the pavement at the end of the day (though I'll
note that event that is nothing that some chips and salza and maybe
a little quacamole can't fix).
Did anyone get any pictures of the awards presentation? Also any
pictures of me and jBot running about?
Ok, I think everybody knows what they need to work on next.
Let's get to it!
happy roboting,
dpa
