Fellow RBNO Attendees:
This past weekend former DPRG member / president Eric Yundt donated a bunch
of motors sensors, equipment, old DPRG newsletters and a robot lawn mower to
the club which Steve Rainwater and Kip Moravec were kind enough to expend the
effort and expense of making two trips from Garland (Steve from Irving to
Garland) to the Colony to pick up the stuff.
Brian Merritt made a proposal that sounded good to me. His words with my
editorial modifications appearing in [brackets] :
Pull out anything that the club as a group really needs, then let the RBNO
crowd look over the stuff and dig out what we want, then we would make a below
wholesale “donation” to the club in “appreciation”. No we are not selling
anything! The size of the donation would vary with the value of their pile.
Then at the end of the night if any good stuff is left put it on the one
donation table with the same terms i.e. a pile of stuff for a modest donation. I
think it’s a win, win, win & win. The club gets a little cash, all of us
pack rats get some more [treasure], we clean up most of the mess, and oh yea we
just chunk (or recycle) the remainder.
