I would think that if you're building your own system, you could
simply increase the charge voltage by the forward voltage drop of the
blocking diodes that you use.  I would, however, probably put a Zener
in parallel with each battery to prevent it from being overcharged, as
well as some sort of current limiter:

I don't really know what I'm doing either, so this may have something
wrong with it.  Note that the Zener is only there to keep the other
two diodes at or above their rated forward voltage; If your power
supply goes too high, there may be problems.
