Hey DPRG Folks,
Talking as your FUTURE new president -- unless I am thrown out of the club
Saturday.

We have a new meeting facility online -- the DPRG Garland Clubhouse which is
where the meeting will be held tomorrow. This is an experiment to see how
well the space works for meetings.

I believe, adding more folding tables and chairs as needed and finding a
video projector for presentations would make the space ideal.

The format I am going for.

Encourage bringing your projects to meetings with show and tell and
feedback/input from members.

Develop a format for short presentations, but encourage small group
discussions as we have been
doing at RBNO.

Encourage food and drinks be brought along to combine meeting with lunch.

Do everything possible to keep meetings interesting - streamline club
business discussions.

Doug Evans stepped up for the position of club librarian and is eligible for
proxy voting OR
YOUR vote cast as the Saturday meeting.

We need a secretary -- do we have someone who will step up for that roll?
Come on -- it will be easy and FUN!

Despite the fact I allowed a giant slinky to test the strength of my rib
cage at the last RBNO, I am promoting a serious club oriented toward furthering
interest and education in robotics all the technology which the field
encompasses (which is probably all technology).

One final issue, is if you bring robot or human that needs to be supervised,
you need to be prepared to do whatever is needed to make sure they stay out
of harms way. Mike has been making lots of noises about setting age limits,
but have asked him if we can work out a solution. This may be one shortcoming
of the warehouse -- Making it kid safe may be really tough. Removing the
raised floor has been a boon to safety for all ages. Anyway, more on that later.

So come on down (or up) to this Saturday's meeting. Bring something you have
been working on or someday might work on and bring some food other than Ham.

Well, bring a Ham too if you feel the need.
Sodas Beer Chips whatever
