Hey Scott,
Just an idea here.
What if you disconnect processor from relay driver and trip it manually, if
processor does not reset then you must have a spike transmitted though that
data line.
You could use an opto-isolator(s) to drive 293 in that case.
Should be able to see some evilness on a scope.
If it still does then maybe time to look at proximity of motor power wires
to processor and/or processor power supply.
