Atmel is having a technical seminar on their AVR32 UC3 devices. This is not the
same as their 8 bit AVR line. These are bigger, faster parts.
The seminar is being held in 24 cities around the US. The Dallas TX date is 5
May 2008 at the Radisson Hotel Dallas North, 1981 N Central Expy, Richardson, TX
75080 USA. The cost of the seminar is $100. Attendees get lunch. And a
development board (EVK1101) worth $79. Oh, and a JTAGice-mkII worth $299.
I happen to need a JTAGice-mkII to work on my NGW100 network gateways. These
application boards have a different flavor of AVR32 processors onboard and run
Linux. My plans are to use one of them to host my website, and the other one to
drive around and annoy people. Perhaps the EVK1101 can be coerced into robotic
duty, as well.
There were 11 seats available when I registered. So I guess there are 10 or
fewer left now.
Thanks,
