Let me guess. Will these be autonomous? Or teleremotely
operated, on the dark side of the moon. Where no radio signals
can go.
Then my next question. What good is a radio receiver on the dark
side of the moon? It sits over there and discovers the secrets
of the universe,,, then what? how will we ever learn the
results? Will the robots send us a telegram via special robotic
space currier?
While a little tongue in check, here, you have to wonder about
these articles that leave out important details like; How do you
communicate with a place that's attractive exactly because it's
where you can't communicate? It's sort of like having an IR
remote in the bedroom to change the TV/Radio in the living room.
A big piece of the idea is missing. And then once we solve that
problem with a cross lunar radio repeater, or moon satelites
communications bounces, doesn't that sort of defeat the utility
of the place that was once shielded from such influence?
Is Homer Simpson on this design team?
