Hello,
Anyone out there have a design guide for Winbond ISD1700 series voice
recorder chip?
I requested their design guide a week+ ago, then again yesterday, no
response -- other than a response from their sales department when I wrote them and
they sent an email to the same email link I had sent to.
If I can't get an answer --
I am getting pretty serious about doing my own recorder. Flash is cheap.
AVRs have nice A/D leaving the question open whether to do PWM with fancy
filter (Atmel has an example using a 6th order filter) or to go with a DAC /
resistor ladder and maybe much simpler filter.
That is the nice thing about Winbond chip -- incorporates filters for input
and output
simplifying the design... Also, has a Class D speaker driver built on the
chip.
I only need about 10 to 20 seconds of recorded speech.
certainly I could use Winbond chip with button interface, but really wanted
to go with SPI.
Also, I think that SPI is needed for that series to control things like
input source microphone vs line input..
