For those wanting to take advantage of the retired color Sony LCDs (
ACX501AKM7 ) mentioned below, we've found the connector at Digi-Key part:
HFP190CT-ND
There may still be a stack of these LCDs in the DPRG library area.
I'm going to be placing an order for 10 connectors. If you are in the DFW
area and want to combine connector orders and save a buck each and shipping,
drop me a note with contact info, email address, quantity, and a Paypal
account I can send the invoice to.
Batteries:
We now have 26 li-poly 3.7 cells available to donate. These are fresh
evaluation units in the 1600 - 2200 maH range (rated) but generally fall
about 200 - 400 maH short of spec. Few will have more than 5 charge cycles
on them. These are assembled units with PCB and SMD connector for iPaq PDAs
but it is easy to strip them down to the cell. I should be able to drop
these off at the May contest.

We are retiring a batch of Sony LCDs that have been pulled from Compaq / HP
iPaq PDAs.
Part number: ACX501AKM7
240x320
Screens have between 3 and 5 years of use. Touch screens are nearly
flawless due to use of screen protectors. Backlights have faded too much
for easy use outdoors but are fine indoors. Maybe 1/3 of the screens have
developed significant 'stuck pixels' in the lower corners of the screen but
are otherwise functional.
