Parallax has a peripheral device called the PWMPAL that might be workable in
your application :
http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=28020 Haven't tried it, don't
know much about it.

There are also a number of h-bridge combo devices from companies like Pololu and
Solutions Cubed that accept serial input rather than PWM. These have been
designed for use with processors like the Basic Stamp that are limited in the
number of activities they can do at once, but are easy to use.

Alternatively a little bit of study could bring you to other processors that
have no difficulty in handling PWM in addition to other functions needed.

I am using a Parallax Stamp to perform input processing, motor control (PWM)
and a few other chores. I would like to put a device between the stamp and
the H-Bridge which would accept a serial input from the stamp that would
then be converted to a PWM signal for the H-bridge so I could relieve the
stamp of the chore of doing the PWM.

Something like the stamp sends a decimal 128 and the PWM signal is 50% duty
cycle... A 256 would give a 100 % duty cycle.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Bill
