Dave,
Yeah, since it is a "smooth surface contest", what about printing out a
ruler, that is, piecing together a "printed paper yard stick".
You could use a photo copier to duplicate a yardstick onto paper if you did
not want to spend time creating a CAD or hand drawing.
So my suggestion would be for you to ask:
Can I, bring a paper yard stick that I will tape down?
Any objections OR do I need to resign as Secretary from your nit-picky robot
club and form my own club?
