Well, lets see. I run the mill at about 2 ipm (inches per minute) doing
aluminum plate like that (because the end mill is buried in the aluminum),
so its about 12 minutes to cut out the outline, and probably another 15-20
to drill the holes (since I center drill them all first, and then screw the
plate down to the wooden base I mill on to hold it).
The whole thing, including setup and tool changes, is probably about 45
minutes.
I certainly wouldn't want to do production work on it, but for one-offs
like this, it works quite well.
