I use it a quite a bit as a drill press and for doing layout work using
the X/Y table. (One of the mods was adding dial calipers to the X/Y axes).
Have you a looked at Sherline? They have some pretty cool tools,
up to and including CNC. I think Dave Hylands uses that equipment
to machine his lovely robot creations.
