It doesn't seem to be in stock at the moment, and the lead time says
"5/28/2007" but it might be worth getting in line for this one:
Digikey is selling a bundle of the Atmel AVR STK500 (normally $79) and
the AVR Dragon (normally $49) for only $61.25. The Digikey part number
is AVRDEVKIT1-ND.
I saw a banner ad on the Atmel web site saying somthing about "deep
discounts" so of course, being "frugal", I had to find out more...
I already have 3 of the STK500's and use all of them. I have each one
configured for a different family of processors. I've been wanting to
get a Dragon for a while now, if only to use the debugWire interface for
the smaller parts. Sadly, it can't be used as a production programmer,
as it cannot set the configuration fuses.
If anyone else wants to go in on an order, we can split the shipping.
