As I remember...
Steve from Houston walked around the course with his laptop and robot, not
sure if he was able to make the waypoints. The RAS boys from Austin ran
their robot manually and autonomously -- I don't think they completed
the course, but they seemed to get a lot of tweaking done. Steve Rainwater
got TankBot to run the first leg of the course, or part thereof, and determined
he needed to calibrate its encoders more precisely. jBot ran the course twice,
both times hit the first and second waypoints directly and stopped about 6-8
feet away from the third.
I thought it actually served as a pretty good practice session and
dress rehearsal for the next contest (as well as a chance for some
comraderie with fellow robot builders).
