For what it is worth, Dr. Brian Huff has a differential GPS that
is supposed to give something like 2 cm accuracy. These are
$20,000 units he uses in the national UAV competitions. It might
be worth having him establish a starting point, or at least be
sure his readings concur with what you find. We might ask him?
