[DPRG] Robot building survey

Hey Mr S...

I do not know if you have seen the following but it is a really interesting
concept / alternative to the standard LEGO "brick" that is based on a 68332
processor. It definitely applies to robotics as it is based around the MRM
that a few others here have used in their robots. It may also be
interesting to you to see how they are interfacing different devices. It
shares the modularity and build ability but is definitely a different
system... Interesting gander...

To better figure out what the club can do to help people build robots,
I would like to ask everyone here a few questions:

* Why aren't you building a robot?

A: I am, several...

* Why aren't you making any progress on your robot?
A: Home projects come first, work, buying a house, moving, house projects
and a slew of other things

seem to have a higher priority currently

* If you are making progress on your robot, why haven't you told the
rest of us about it?

A: see the answer above

* What can the club do to make building a robot more enjoyable for you?
A: I'm working with Lego right now, and personally, there is nothing more
enjoyable than draining away

the day's stresses by putting some Lego together. If there is anyone in the
club that is working with Lego

and more specifically, adding enhanced non-Lego sensors etc. to their robot
I'd love to exchange some ideas.

Sending your answers to the list is preferable to a private response,
because other people may be able to help with any problems you may be
having.
