Why is it, then, very few robots entered in quick trip have
odometry? 

It's like the step everyone tries to skip.

Do you suppose that it would help focus the contests if we had a
webpage on what each contest is supposed to help you do? What
was recommended for each contest?

You know, there was some discussion of quick trip with obstacles
at RBNO. I think Avoidance should be a skill we all know how to
do. How do we propose a new contest? Didn't we have a committee
set up at one time? Is it still functional?
