You use something. If you don't believe me, in the black of
night, with your eyes closed, find your kitchen.
I find toes and finger tips are very much like bump switches in
that situation.
How do blind people find their way around? I bet it's odometry.
(This many steps to the corner... Feel for curb... And so on.)
