I haven't see the output from a Cell phone yet, but we did add a
GPS to our product line which is very slick. At $69 I think it
is about the best you can buy with a built in antenna. We've
also got an adapter so it plugs into our PlugaPod(TM) stack. I
hope to use this on my RoboMagellan entry. The UTA team is also
using these.
It's got the Star III chipset, same as the cased unit I showed
at RBNO about a month or so back. The great thing about that
chipset is it is so sensitive, if can pick up signals inside.
Yes, I got it tracking outside the RBNO headquarters, and
brought it inside under that steel roof, and it was still
tracking satellites! The commercial one I showed off had a
bluetooth interface built in as well, and a Li-Ion battery. I
gave about $150 for that one.
