Gates, flops, is that something to do with Microsoft? :-)

IHMO that's a strange way to look at things. For FPGA's or
something like that, it might be good information, but
for a CPU, does it really matter how many transistors,
gates or flip-flops it has and how they were arranged
to make those things to operate?
What's more important to me is the speed, cost, and
functionality. Hey, if it were a really fast cock-roach,
that would be ok too. :-) It can crawl under a _gate_
and when it dies it _flip-flops_. :-)
Well, now that you ask, I'm interested to know too. :-)
