James Vroman called and got my answering machine.  He tells that he
was able to hook it up to his truck battery, and the motors work.
He says that it would be easiest to just replace the joystick control
unit with some relays and MCU board and we'd be in business.

If there's any thoughts on the wheelchair, speak up.  I think James
is anxious to make the changes that he'd like to make to play around
with it.  It sounds ok to me.  I'd like to see it put to good use.
Otherwise it might be quite a while before anyone might get to it.
